The principle of community was central to the conception of this row house residence. For this project to succeed, individual clients with individual demands and visions had to come together in a collaborative effort. All custom arrangements, no floor plan is like another. The facade, also informed by the individual floor plans, is organized around incisions made for loggias, entrances and parking places. Different window patterns further mirror the functions behind them. Individual units are defined by varying widths of horizontal fir formwork. By using a common structure, a collective building identity is apparent without sacrificing the individuality of the units. All load bearing building pieces of the row houses are made from a solid construction to guarantee sound and fire protection. The exterior that is clad with wooden are prefabricated with a wood frame construction.
